Job Description

The Aftermarket Parts & Service Sales Representative provides sales and basic technical support, researches existing machine/part information, and creates a working relationship with our customers to ensure the highest level of customer service, satisfaction, and support. The initiatives of the inside sales representatives should work with department efforts to increase the sales potential of the area by maximizing profitability using suggestive selling techniques, offering potential upgrades, and solving customers’ parts emergencies to keep their equipment running.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Time Commitment: 25%

  • Handles inbound sales lead calls, emails, and fax to quote and close the sale and provide resolution of issues with equipment related to parts.

Time Commitment: 25%

  • Provides quotes with pricing and estimated delivery times based on feedback from Purchasing Team.

Time Commitment: 15%

  • Communicate with Outside Sales Representatives and Service Technicians on customer accounts.
  • Inputs and maintain accurate customer data in the computer database. Create Daily/Monthly Sales Reports.
  • Investigates and Resolves Customer problems. Performs Sales Data Reports for Outside Sales

Time Commitment: 15%

  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Required Education:

  • Associate degree (Engineering Field preferred but not required).

Work-Related Experience:

  • Proven experience in sales and customer service; experience as a sales/purchasing coordinator in manufacturing environments will be considered a plus.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing processes related to steel/metal industries a plus

Skills, knowledge, abilities:

  • Proficiency in English - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Calculate Gross Margins and Gross Margin percentages on orders and quotes. Calculate discounts on several items effectively.
  • Computer Proficiency: All Office 365 elements, Microsoft Project. CRM software Experience Preferred.
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering and manufacturing drawings. High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Mechanical skills in Metal processing and manufacturing processes are preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, ability to handle a large volume of calls, emails, and requests daily. Discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills. Exceptional communication skills with strong attention to detail, follow-through, and problem-solving. Creative problem-solving skills are considered a plus.

Salary: 55K+ DOE
