Aftermarket Business Manager

Primary responsibility is to be driving increased part sales in the Mid West Territory. This individual will be measured on their ability to drive increased sales while increasing market share and maximizing margins. This candidate should have a strong customer focus mindset to articulate value selling statements and develop account strategy in collaboration with the sales organization and customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creatively determine account strategies based on analysis with sales team to support sales in field. Able to confidently present to sales and customers on a regular basis with value selling statements/arguments
  • Accountable for proactively partnering with the sales organization to identify and analyze key opportunities. Assess and Hunt in the install base customer needs to bring customers back to Prioritize these opportunities while obtaining buy-in from various stakeholders
  • Using various technology and tools, conduct analysis to understand customer situation and opportunity.
  • Represent the voice of the customer and liaison with Sales, Operations, Pricing and other cross-functional teams to determine the needs of customers and programs that can drive increased part sales
  • Manage pricing/discounts based on guidelines set; provide input on feedback from customers in the field on key customer concerns
  • Identify and implement programs locally with Sales organization to drive increased part sales in region achieving targets in collaboration with all functions
  • Conduct regular rhythm review of sales inquiries to opportunities, measure opportunities to conversion ratio
  • May participate in and/or lead continuous improvement activities
  • Travel/visit customer and key accounts to develop spare parts strategies
  • Negotiate and maintain Corporate Spare Parts Agreements including discount levels and rebate programs in conjunction with the Sales Team as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Superior prioritization and organization skills
  • Analytical/data oriented; experience making decisions based on data
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills and the ability to professionally interact with customers
  • Strong facilitation and time-management skills
  • Ability to characterize value of products/some technical knowledge
  • Demonstrated flexibility and resiliency in the ability to consistently maintain a high productivity level despite constant changing demands
  • Strong presentation skills/Proficient in Microsoft office
  • Demonstrated initiative and creativity
  • General understanding of machinery and related mechanical, hydraulic and electronic technologies
  • Availability to travel mainly within the US and Canada
  • Bachelors of Commerce, Marketing or related field or equivalent experience in Operations or Sales
  • 3-5 years client facing experience
  • 3-5 years equivalent experience conducting sales analytics
  • Experience in manufacturing environment preferred but not require
