Join our dedicated team as an Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer, and help shape the manufacturing process of aerospace components at our rapidly expanding Aircraft Manufacturer based in the scenic coastal town of Florida. This is a direct hire opportunity where you will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring operational excellence and innovation in aerostructure development. Salary: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes specifically for aerospace components, focusing on efficiency and quality improvement.
- Design effective plant layouts that maximize workflow and minimize cost.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of tooling, ensuring high standards are met.
- Create and manage critical documentation including work instructions and manufacturing Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Lead new product introductions using Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles to reduce costs and improve manufacturability.
- Analyze labor, workflow, and space utilization to propose strategies that enhance productivity.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a closely related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing engineering.
- Proficient in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Teamcenter.
- Hands-on experience with 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software including CATIA V5/V6, UG NX, or ProE.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes related to aerospace and the ability to solve complex manufacturing issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- More than 5 years of experience in a similar role within the aerospace sector.
- Experience in managing full lifecycle manufacturing projects from design through to production and assembly.
- Advanced skills in CAD and CAE tools for designing and engineering.
- Project management capabilities with a track record of delivering under tight deadlines.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in driving process improvement initiatives.
