Starting salary will be set at Step 1 for all grades based on the applicable pay table; GS-7 is set at $45,057, GS-9 is set at $55,116, and GS-11 is set at $60,880. This position has promotion potential to the GS-13. Required college majors for applicants qualifying on the basis of undergraduate or graduate education only: The primary role for this engineer at a journeyman level is for a thermal/fluids analyst. The incumbent will be responsible for solving application type problems for spacecraft and aerospace systems; including active and passive thermal control systems and their components (pumps, heat exchangers, radiators, etc.). The incumbent must also work effectively in a team environment.
