Retail Advertising Coordinator

Reporting to the President the Advertising Coordinator is a key player in the marketing department at FEA, responsible for planning, executing, and managing advertising campaigns to promote products and enhance brand visibility.

This position has one graphic designer who the client says is very good, the position reports to the Owner and President. A fast paced role dealing with print TV Radio and other media contacts coordinating and keeping the advertising calendar and process organized and follow up is critical.

The career path is great and the role can grow over time, you'll report to a key person in the company. Other stakeholders include the Merchandise manager and HR and the Controller and the Store team led by the General Manager.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  1. Part of the team that will develop advertising campaigns that align with the overall marketing objectives of the retail company and ensure that they are executed on time.
  2. Coordinate with various internal departments (such as merchandising, sales, and creative teams) and external agencies to ensure smooth execution of advertising campaigns.
  3. Manage the creation of promotional materials and advertisements, including digital, website, print, radio, and television ads.
  4. Monitor campaign performance, analyze advertising metrics, and prepare performance reports to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and identify areas for improvement.
  5. Manage budgets for advertising projects, ensuring that all activities are delivered within the allocated financial resources.
  6. Stay updated with market trends and competitor activities to suggest innovative advertising solutions.
  7. Oversee the scheduling and delivery of advertisement content across various channels.
  8. Negotiate with media channels, including the print vendor, to ensure cost-effective advertising solutions.
  9. Monitor and collect all available co-op advertising $ from the vendor partners.
  10. Ensure all advertising content meets the company’s brand standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred or the equivalent combination of 5 years of practical experience.
  • Experience in advertising or marketing, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Strong understanding of different advertising mediums including digital, social media, and traditional advertising.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using tools to measure advertising effectiveness.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with advertising management software.

Work Environment:

  • Onsite role - Full Time, Monday-Friday (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
  • This position typically works in an office environment but may require occasional visits to retail locations or media agencies.
  • Standard working hours with occasional hours during major campaign launches or critical project phases.

Career Path:

The Retail Advertising Coordinator may advance to higher roles such as Retail Advertising Manager, Marketing Manager, or other senior marketing roles within the organization.
