Central Connecticut State University invites applications to join the Media Center as a full-time Administrative Faculty Trainee (Administrator I). We seek applicants who are interested in an entry level position in a multimedia production facility, where they can advance their skills using state of the art equipment in a higher education setting.

About CCSU’s Media Center

The Media Center supports the academic mission of the University and maintains materials and equipment for the production, distribution and utilization of instructional media. They also provide coordinate studio and on-location television production services, training and technical assistance.

Position Profile

The Administrative Faculty Trainee will support the Media Center in several capacities including operation of broadcast equipment for campus wide events, production, editing and integration of digital video into instructional materials. Other duties will be as assigned. The successful incumbent must work well in a collaborative team environment and be able to multitask and meet deadlines.

Weekend and evening work is occasionally required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of digital video production, editing and integration of digital video into multimedia instructional materials required.

Knowledge on the operation of broadcast equipment within assigned area, including but not limited to switchers, routing, CGs, video playback, remote camera operation

Education:

All applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

Ideal Candidate

Preference will be given to applicants with the following:

  • Knowledge and experience with Adobe premier pro
  • Knowledge and experience with Envato

Compensation and Employee Benefits

The Administrative Faculty Trainee is compensated at the Administrator I salary level in accordance with the State University Organization of Administrative Faculty (SUOAF) Collective Bargaining Union Agreement.
