Central Connecticut State University invites applications to join Institutional Advancement as a full-time Administrative Faculty Program Associate. We seek applicants who are motivated and organized, able to work in a team-oriented environment and provide administrative support for Central’s three Endowed Chairs in the School of Business and Carol A. Ammon College of Liberal Arts and Social Science.

About CCSU’s Institutional Advancement

The Division of Institutional Advancement is responsible for an integrated, comprehensive external relations program including alumni affairs, constituent relations, community and business relations, and university development. The Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Strategic Partnerships is the chief liaison officer to the CCSU Foundation, Inc.

The Division of Institutional Advancement supports Central Connecticut State University’s mission by securing philanthropic resources, strengthening community and alumni engagement, and cultivating lasting relationships with donors and partners. The department plays a critical role in advancing the university’s strategic priorities through fundraising and external funding.

Position Profile

This entry level full-time position will support Central’s three endowed chairs with their daily operations and assist in advancing institutional priorities. Key responsibilities include data management, reception, event coordination, office correspondence, and meeting preparation and support. The ideal candidate will be expected to have high organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidential information.

Applicant Evaluative Criteria

Applicant profiles and supplementary materials will be evaluated for appointments based on the following:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

Experience and Training:

  • Two (2) years of professional experience in the performance of entry level duties as assigned to designated unit and/or program
    • Note: Graduate Intern and/or Graduate Assistant experience in the area of study and/or practice of the designated unit and/or program shall be prorated as appropriate.
    • Substitution Allowed: Successful completion of an approved Administrative Faculty Trainee program shall substitute for minimal qualifications

Certifications and successful completion of training programs may be required prior to or during appointment

Ideal Candidate

Preference will be given to applicants with the following:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook and other programs
  • Experience setting up meetings and managing multiple schedules.
  • Experience collecting and maintaining data
  • Experience drafting emails and documents

Compensation and Employee Benefits

The Administrative Faculty Program Associate is compensated at the Administrator II salary level in accordance with the State University Organization of Administrative Faculty (SUOAF) Collective Bargaining Union Agreement.
