Scope of Position

The Administrative Assistant to the Mining Office is responsible for providing administrative support. This role will involve handling both local and overseas orders, managing inventory, coordinating office services, and assisting in the renewal of essential licenses, to ensure the efficient operation of the department.

Responsibilities
  • Perform clerical duties such as filing, typing, photocopying, scanning, etc.
  • Organize and maintain files (computerized and hard files).
  • Order office supplies (locally and online) and manage inventory of office supplies.
  • Coordinate needed repairs and updates of office equipment.
  • Generating and sending correspondence, purchase orders, reports, etc.
  • Work closely alongside the accountant to provide administrative assistance.
  • Willing to run company errands as needed.
  • Perform similar additional duties.

Required Education and Training
  • At least three CXC or GCE subjects including Mathematics and English.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel).
  • Experience in a similar position would be considered an asset.
  • Two (2) character references.
