Administrative Assistant - Tax processor
Job Description
We are actively looking to hire an experienced Administrative Assistant - Tax Processor at our location in the Smyrna area. Position details as follows;
The Tax Processor is an integral member of our Administrative Services team, providing processing support for the tax department at Elliott Davis, ensuring tax returns are completed accurately and timely for our clients. This individual presents a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, and represents the firm's mission, vision, and values appropriately.
Responsibilities:
Proactively process tax returns and other reports timely and accurately
Develop in-depth understanding of all applicable federal, state, and local tax returns and assembly/filing requirements
Develop an understanding and proficiency in using firm applications and software
May prepare, assemble, print and mail client organizer lists and updates
Handle scanning, copying, and filing as requested
Work closely with manager and other key stakeholders to receive and implement timely feedback to ensure quality service and client satisfaction
Effectively partner with and cross-train other Administrative personnel to assist with backup duties or other office needs (such as back-up reception coverage, distribute mail, etc.)
E-file tax returns and monitor workflow process
Prepare and edit engagement letters and other correspondence
Set up client portals for new clients as requested
Build and develop strong working relationships with shareholders and team members to understand and meet client needs and manager expectations
Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred
Strong grammar and punctuation skills
Attention to quality, with an eye for accuracy and detail
Exceptional proofreading skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Flexibility and ability to work well independently
Strong team player
Strong computer skills, with intermediate proficiency in MS Word, PPT, Excel and Outlook
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
This position is full-time / 40 hours per week
