About Our Client

Our client, located Downtown Toronto, is a large Financial Institution and looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join the team.


Reporting to the Manager, the Accounts Payable Supervisor will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Support the on-going development of the Accounts payable team through providing guidance and mentorship
  • Actively participate in the development and implementation of accounts payable policies and procedures to ensure proper controls are adhered to
  • Monitor the workflow among team members and proactively reallocate tasks to ensure processing of invoices in a timely manner
  • Oversee the new vendor set-up process
  • Oversee the reconciliation of the AP subledger to vendor accounts and investigate discrepancies as required
  • Ensure appropriate approvals for all invoices in accordance with company policy
  • Administer the employee corporate card program
  • Administer the employee expense reimbursement process through Concur software
  • Actively participate in the roll out of Workday
  • Assist in month end close procedures
  • Assist in the internal and external audit process


  • 4+ years of relevant accounts payable work experience, in high-volume environments
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain attention to detail in an environment requiring flexibility, adaptability and a high volume of transactions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A process oriented mind-set with the ability to think critically and challenge the status quo
  • Experience with Workday Financial is a strong asset
