ACCOUNTS PAYABLE - LEAD ANALYST
On-Site 4 Days/Week - Remote 1 Day/Week

This position oversees day-to-day accounts payable processes and supports general accounting activities. This role ensures accurate financial records, timely payments, strong vendor relationships, and compliance with internal controls. The position also contributes to process and system improvements across the Accounts Payable function.
- Review, code, and process vendor invoices in accordance with company policies
- Manage the payment cycle to ensure timely and accurate disbursements
- Maintain vendor relationships and resolve invoice or payment issues
- Reconcile accounts payable and other assigned general ledger accounts
- Maintain organized AP records and documentation for audit purposes
- Prepare monthly AP reports and track outstanding liabilities
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and applicable regulations
- Collaborate with purchasing, fulfillment, and publishing teams to resolve discrepancies
- Prepare and post journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end close
- Administer the company credit card program and review employee expense activity
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve variances
- Identify and recommend process and system improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
Desired Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Five or more years of experience in accounts payable, including 3-way match
- Strong knowledge of AP processes, reconciliations, and internal controls
- Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Office
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Effective communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively• Experience with ERP systems
- Knowledge of AP-related tax compliance
- Strong Excel skills for reporting and analysis
