Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Assistant for our oil & gas services manufacturing company in North Houston.

The succession candidate will focus on invoicing and business-to-business collections and will be comfortable working within third-party vendor systems and ensuring timely and accurate financial processing.

This is a part-time in office position, 20 – 30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and send customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Conduct B2B collections, including following up on past due accounts and resolving payment discrepancies.
  • Enter and manage invoicing and payment information in third-party procurement systems (e.g., Ariba or similar platforms).
  • Assist with maintaining accounting records, files, and supporting documentation.
  • Support month-end activities as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external customers to resolve billing or account-related issues.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in accounting support, billing, or collections.
  • Experience working with third-party vendor or procurement systems (e.g., Ariba) preferred.
  • QuickBooks experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Professional communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work in a fast-paced environment.
