We are looking for an Accounting Supervisor to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

This is a strong opportunity for an accounting professional ready to step into a leadership role, overseeing daily operations and helping shape a growing team, in a hybrid position based in Cleveland, OH.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activity
• Review and approve reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close deliverables
• Coach, train, and evaluate the performance of accounting team members
• Support the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements
• Assist with audit preparation, including gathering documentation and supporting schedules
• Strengthen and maintain internal controls across day-to-day accounting processes
• Recommend and implement improvements to accounting workflows and efficiency
• Serve as a point of contact for cross-departmental accounting questions and issues

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 4+ years of accounting experience, ideally with some supervisory or team-lead exposure
• Working knowledge of GAAP and month-end close procedures
• Comfort with accounting/ERP systems and strong Excel capabilities
• Solid leadership, communication, and organizational abilities
• Capable of juggling competing priorities
