CBIZ Talent Solutions is assisting our client in their search for an Accounting Manager in the NYC Metro Area. This is an exciting opportunity to join a creative company working with entertainment artists.

Position Summary

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations of the company. This position manages the accounting team, supports the month-end close and reporting process, The Accounting Manager will oversee royalty accounting specific to the entertainment industry.

Responsibilities

• Accounting Operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
• Prepare financial reports
• Oversee royalty accounting processes
• Budgeting, Forecasts, Analysis & Reporting
• Supervise, train, and mentor accounting staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required).
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
• Experience in the music, entertainment, or media industry is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems (e.g., MS Business Central, Navission)
• Strong Excel skills

Salary range, DOE: $100-$130K.
