Accounting Manager

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our finance team. This role will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and financial integrity, while driving process improvements in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
Role Overview:
As the Accounting Manager, you will lead the accounting operations, manage month-end and year-end close processes, and collaborate closely with finance, FP&A, and other departments. You’ll ensure compliance with GAAP and oversee internal controls, helping to strengthen the financial health of the organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
- Manage the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Lead accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities
- Supervise a small team of accountants and provide coaching, guidance, and professional development
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements, continuously identifying areas for improvement
- Collaborate with external auditors and prepare audit schedules as needed
- Oversee revenue recognition and SaaS-specific accounting matters, ensuring proper application of ASC 606
- Monitor cash flow, balance sheet reconciliations, and operational expenses to ensure alignment with forecasts
- Drive the improvement of accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and scalability
- Support the finance team in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Prepare detailed financial reports and present insights to leadership and cross-functional teams
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA strongly preferred)
- 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the SaaS or technology industry
- Solid understanding of GAAP and experience with ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition)
- Experience managing month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance with internal controls
- Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems (experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks, or Intacct is a plus)
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to lead and mentor accounting staff
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Experience working in a public accounting firm or in a SaaS or tech environment is highly desirable
