A premier, independent Community Management and Real Estate Services company just south of Denver is seeking a highly detailed and standards-driven Accounting Manager to elevate the accuracy and efficiency of its corporate accounting and financial reporting functions. This role will oversee the accounting team while being an integral part of processing and month-end close. Core Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the corporate accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Oversee all month-end close activities, ensuring timely and precise financial reporting
- Manage general ledger oversight, journal entries, reconciliations, and corporate accounting workflows with a hands-on approach
- Support the preparation, review, and distribution of key financial statements and reports
- Strengthen internal processes by identifying opportunities for improved efficiencies and implementing best practices
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to ensure alignment between operations, reporting, and financial goals
Ideal Candidate Profile & Must-Have Skills:
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role
- Expertise in AP, AR, financial reporting, budgeting, reserve transfers, and assessment processing
- High proficiency with Vantaca, QuickBooks, and financial software
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to coach and guide accounting staff across multiple locations
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on accounting experience)
