Accounting Manager – Manufacturing Londonderry, NH

About the Company:

They are seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, lead a small team, and partner closely with senior leadership to support continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the accounting function including general ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to GAAP standards.

  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.

  • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and reporting processes.

  • Collaborate with operations and supply chain to analyze production costs, inventory valuation, and margin performance.

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis efforts.

  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax preparers during audits and filings.

  • Continuously evaluate accounting processes to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency.

  • Assist the CFO with special projects and strategic financial initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment strongly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.

  • Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (experience with NetSuite, Sage, or Epicor a plus).

  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
