Carolina PRG is partnering with a company seeking an Accounting Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional to take ownership of key financial processes, oversee a team, and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting, leadership experience, and a proactive approach to process improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage daily accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting.
  • Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Perform financial analysis, including profitability, cost, and variance assessments.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and identify opportunities to streamline processes.
  • Support audit preparation and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, and other departments to provide financial insights.
  • Supervise a team, providing mentorship and leadership to accounting staff.
  • Assist in budget preparation and forecasting to support strategic planning.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Work with external auditors, vendors, and financial institutions as needed.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and financial presentations for leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, with prior leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and process improvements.
  • Experience with inventory, or project-based accounting is a plus.
  • Proficiency in financial systems .
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and time management skills.
