Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations while supporting accurate financial reporting and process improvement. This hybrid role in Cleveland, OH is ideal for a hands‑on accounting leader who enjoys managing the close process, supporting a team, and partnering across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger activities and ensure accurate financial records
• Manage month‑end and year‑end close processes
• Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules
• Supervise and support accounting staff, providing guidance and development
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Assist with audits and serve as a liaison with external auditors
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and leadership teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Prior experience as an Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience managing or mentoring accounting staff
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• CPA preferred but not required
