Job Description

Flybridge Staffing is currently searching for an Accounting Manager (Direct Hire) for a highly reputable, publicly traded organization here in the South Florida area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who values the ability to work independently, while also directly supporting various divisions with organizations. This role is bonus eligible, excellent 401k (Match), Health, Vision, Dental, long term/short term disability and more. This person will report directly to the Controller and has no direct reports. This role is 100% onsite in Hollywood Florida.

  • Be primarily responsible for the books and records of multiple corporate departments which include but are not limited to month-end closing entries, account and inter-company reconciliations, cash management, variance analysis and invoice coding.
  • Drive the annual detailed budgeting process for above mentioned corporate departments.
  • Provide support and guidance to the various departmental Directors (i.e., IT, HR, Engineering) and accounting staff of the corporate departments.
  • Preparation and ongoing support of various allocations to the operating entities.
  • Provide guidance and support for our consolidation reporting (Cognos / Planning & Analytics) and Fixed Asset Software (FAS) packages.
  • Assist with the facilitation and administration of the annual FSG Budget process.
  • Conduct financial analysis and prepare supporting schedules for internal and external (SEC) reporting.
  • Various projects geared toward supporting our FSG Finance Team including the testing of corporate level Sox Controls such as compliance with our A/R reserve policy, fixed asset policy, confirming various elimination entries, counting of physical inventory, and other subsidiary support functions.
  • Perform/assist with other duties and special projects.


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA license preferred
  • Minimum of five to seven years of experience in financial accounting (industry or industry/public mix).
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to clearly express an opinion or interpretation of various analysis, schedules or statement and results.
  • Strong work ethic (willingness to longer days during month-end/quarter-end/year-end
  • Strong Excel skills are a must. - General working knowledge of ERP reporting packages is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with subsidiary controllers and employees of all levels, including senior management.
  • Highly responsive to customer requirements, with a high attention for detail and accuracy.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be flexible and able to multi-task in a time-sensitive environment.
