As an Accounting Manager, you will oversee daily financial operations and manage a small team while ensuring the company’s accounting processes run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Oversight & Reporting
  • Lead accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), payroll, and general ledger functions.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Assist in financial planning, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Cost Accounting & Inventory Management (Highly Preferred Experience)
  • Oversee inventory and cost accounting processes to ensure accurate product costing.
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to track and analyze production costs and efficiencies.
  • Process Improvement & Compliance
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls to ensure financial integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including tax filings and audits.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
  • Leadership & Team Management
  • Supervise and mentor a team of four accounting staff members (AP, AR, Payroll).
  • Support team development and training to enhance financial capabilities across the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights for operational decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience

Must-Haves:

✔️ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

✔️ 3-7+ years of experience in accounting, preferably within manufacturing.

✔️ Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and inventory management.

✔️ Experience managing AP, AR, and payroll functions.

✔️ Proficiency in financial reporting and general ledger management.

✔️ Strong leadership skills with prior experience managing or mentoring accounting staff.

Nice-to-Haves:

➕ CPA or CMA certification preferred but not required.

➕ Experience with ERP systems (Workday, SAP, or similar).

➕ Previous exposure to contract manufacturing or consumer goods industries.
