Accounting Manager

We’re searching for a skilled and motivated Accounting Manager to join our team in Cypress, CA. In this key leadership role, you’ll oversee corporate accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance with GAAP and JSOX. Your expertise will help power the next generation of photonic solutions.

What You’ll Do:

• You’ll use strong judgment, accuracy, and leadership to take on responsibilities such as:
• Leading the preparation of GAAPcompliant financial statements and reports
• Ensuring adherence to JSOX regulations and internal controls
• Overseeing daily accounting operations: AP, AR, payroll, inventory, and general ledger
• Managing month end close, financial statements, and flux analysis
• Supervising and mentoring accounting staff, including AP and the Accounting Supervisor
• Driving the accounts payable process
• Conducting financial analysis to support strategic decisions
• Coordinating audits and working closely with external auditors
• Preparing tax filings (income tax, sales tax, regulatory filings)
• Preparing monthly and quarterly reporting packages for the parent company
• Posting biweekly payroll (ADP), reconciling 401(k)
• Reviewing monthly account reconciliations
• Supporting annual budgeting and forecasting with crossfunctional teams
• Assisting the Senior Director of Finance with technical accounting research, memos, and new accounting standards
• Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency
• Managing general insurance renewals
• Tackling additional ad hoc projects as needed

What You Bring

• Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel required)
• Solid understanding of GAAP, including revenue recognition, lease accounting,and expense allocation
• Experience with intercompany transactions and consolidations
• Ability to improve processes and support scalability
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Knowledge of standard costing, cost rolls, overhead application, WIP inventory, and manufacturing cost accounting
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (Accounting preferred)
• CPA preferred
• 5+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• 5+ years of management experience
• Experience with JD Edwards or Oracle is a plus
