Accounting Manager

This hybrid position offers flexibility, combining remote work with in-person collaboration at a welcoming office. Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Manager will oversee daily accounting operations while leading a team of four direct reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership in Financial Operations: The Accounting Manager will manage the general ledger, ensuring the accurate tracking of assets, liabilities, expenses, and revenues.
- Oversight of Financial Close Processes: This role will oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Financial Analysis and Reconciliation: Responsibilities include preparing and posting journal entries for revenue and expenses, reconciling balance sheets, expense accounts, and bank accounts.
- Cash Flow Forecasting: The Accounting Manager will prepare cash forecasts to support strategic financial planning.
- Audit Collaboration: The role will involve working closely with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and facilitating audit processes.
- Process Improvement Initiatives: The Accounting Manager will lead process improvements within the accounting team to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Team Development: Fostering a collaborative, supportive environment, the Accounting Manager will mentor and develop a team of four direct reports.
Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory roles.
- Expertise: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, full-cycle monthly close processes, and financial analysis.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite or similar accounting software is preferred.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to guide, inspire, and grow a team.
