Carolina PRG has partnered with a $5B+ global headquarters to assist them with their search for a "Best in Class" Accounting Manager. This department is led by a leadership team that has been with the company for over 20 years and they are looking for their next generation of leaders. **HYBRID SCHEDULE of 3 DAYS IN OFFICE PER WEEK**

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage daily accounting operations, including the review of both routine and complex journal entries and accruals.

  • Oversee key general ledger functions, including intercompany reporting, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, record-to-report, payroll, and benefits.

  • Direct monthly and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, including balance sheet reconciliations and variance analyses.

  • Perform in-depth analysis of actual results versus forecasts, budgets, and prior periods; provide clear variance explanations to support financial outcomes.

  • Collaborate effectively with corporate and cross-functional accounting teams to align and streamline operations.

  • Ensure full compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements; drive continuous improvement in accounting processes and internal controls.

  • Prepare and coordinate documentation and responses for internal and external audits.

  • Maintain adherence to U.S. GAAP and other regulatory standards.

  • Manage special projects and deliver ad hoc financial analyses as needed.

  • Lead the annual budgeting process in coordination with business stakeholders.

  • Mentor and develop team members by assigning responsibilities, offering guidance, and promoting professional growth.


Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA designation required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience and experience from a Big 4 accounting firm required

  • At least 2 years of managerial experience required.

  • Proficiency in major ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or NetSuite.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable engaging with all levels of the organization.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and evolving responsibilities.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; ability to reconcile and analyze data across multiple sources is a plus.

  • Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours when necessary to meet executive or organizational needs.
