Accounting Manager

Job Summary: The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and managing the accounting team. This role involves maintaining the general ledger, preparing financial statements, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including preparation of financial statements.
  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Coordinate and support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Oversee internal controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
