Senior Accounting Consultant (1-Month Project)

About the Opportunity:
Our client, a mid-sized organization based in Canonsburg, PA, is seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Consultant for a short-term engagement focused on financial statement preparation and financial reporting enhancements. This hands-on role is ideal for a polished accounting professional with public accounting or private industry experience who can hit the ground running and add value immediately.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and update monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements

• Assist with GAAP-compliant financial reporting

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statements

• Review and reconcile general ledger accounts

• Provide technical accounting support and documentation

• Collaborate cross-functionally with finance and operations teams to gather necessary inputs

• Recommend improvements to current reporting processes, templates, or tools

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s preferred

• CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including financial statement preparation

• Prior consulting or project-based work highly valued

• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting best practices

• Proficiency with Excel; experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar

• Ability to work independently, prioritize deliverables, and meet deadlines

• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills

Compensation:
