Accounting Clerk / Payroll Specialist – Full Time
We are seeking a detail-oriented, results-driven Accounting Clerk / Payroll Specialist to manage the full-cycle bi-weekly payroll for over 200+ employees and contribute to key accounting functions that support smooth financial operations.
You’ll play a vital part in ensuring payroll accuracy, maintaining compliance with applicable regulations, and supporting month-end financial processes. Your precision, accountability, and ability to manage sensitive data in a fast-paced environment will directly impact the organization’s efficiency and employee satisfaction.
What you’ll be doing:
- Accurately process bi-weekly payroll for 200++ employees, including new hires, terminations, garnishments, and adjustments
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts and assist with the month-end close
- Maintain payroll records and employee files with strict confidentiality
- Collaborate with HR and Finance to improve payroll processes and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with accounts payable, receivable, and other routine accounting tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Minimum 1 year of payroll processing experience required
- Strong understanding of payroll systems and general accounting principles
- Proficient in Excel and financial software platforms
- High level of accuracy, organization, and integrity
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
