Accounting Clerk / Payroll Specialist – Full Time

We are seeking a detail-oriented, results-driven Accounting Clerk / Payroll Specialist to manage the full-cycle bi-weekly payroll for over 200+ employees and contribute to key accounting functions that support smooth financial operations.

You’ll play a vital part in ensuring payroll accuracy, maintaining compliance with applicable regulations, and supporting month-end financial processes. Your precision, accountability, and ability to manage sensitive data in a fast-paced environment will directly impact the organization’s efficiency and employee satisfaction.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Accurately process bi-weekly payroll for 200++ employees, including new hires, terminations, garnishments, and adjustments
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts and assist with the month-end close
  • Maintain payroll records and employee files with strict confidentiality
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance to improve payroll processes and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with accounts payable, receivable, and other routine accounting tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of payroll processing experience required
  • Strong understanding of payroll systems and general accounting principles
  • Proficient in Excel and financial software platforms
  • High level of accuracy, organization, and integrity
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
