Carolina PRG is partnering with a Charlotte based financial services firm to recruit a highly skilled Accounting & Fund Specialist. This role focuses on accounting functions and fund administration, providing critical support for trust and fund accounting processes, client transactions, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain trust accounts, CDs, and related fund accounting activities.
- Process large wires, loan disbursements, and client payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconcile bank accounts, client ledgers, and internal financial records.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting.
- Generate and distribute financial statements, account summaries, and internal reports as required.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory standards, and client agreements.
- Partner with internal teams to resolve discrepancies, answer accounting questions, and ensure proper documentation.
- Assist in audit preparation and internal controls related to fund and trust accounting.
- Collaborate on loan processing and fund transactions, including new account setup and funding instructions.
Qualifications:
- Experience in trust accounting, fund management, or financial services.
- Comfortable handling large wire transfers, CDs, and loan disbursements.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and reconciliations.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Excel, or other accounting/financial software; experience with fund/accounting platforms a plus.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Excellent communication skills for internal and external collaboration.
- Previous experience as a funder, fund administrator, or accounting specialist in a financial services environment is strongly preferred.
