Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Accountant/Sr Accountant to join our Accounting Team at our Stoney Creek manufacturing facility. This role will play a key part in costing, budgeting, financial reporting, and general ledger oversight within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, experience in manufacturing costing, and a continuous improvement mindset. This role is onsite, 5 days a week with flexible hours, and located in Stoney Creek

Key Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of budgets, costing, and financial reports, providing detailed analysis and insights as required

• Prepare and maintain cash management activities, including monitoring cash flow and liquidity

• Maintain, review, and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness

• Complete monthly and year-end working papers and assist with preparation for annual audits

• Support product and operational costing in a manufacturing environment

• Participate in the continuous improvement of internal reporting, controls, and accounting procedures

• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls

• Understand and follow the Quality Management System (ISO requirements)

• Understand and follow the Health and Safety Management System

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting or a related discipline

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment (machine shop experience is a strong asset)

• Experience with ERP systems; exposure to Visual Manufacturing is preferred

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

• Working knowledge of ISO systems and manufacturing quality standards

• Solid understanding of manufacturing costing principles

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally

• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
