Position Responsibilities:
Responsible for the solicitation, brokering and management of all freight for customers. Will maintain the proper documentation pertaining to all loads moved; negotiate customer and carrier freight rates. Will call and work with existing customers to obtain loads. Will work with Brokerage Manager to generate new customer leads, follow up with both carriers and customers on assigned loads, maintaining productive working relationships with customer and carrier representatives.

Background Required:
  • Progressive responsibility for selling Non-Asset Truck Brokerage (2+ years)
  • Mode of transportation (i.e. Truckload, Specialized)
  • Pricing and margin integrity
  • Negotiations
  • Customer development, profitability, & market penetration
  • Computer literate: Microsoft (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Residence: Fort Smith, Arkansas
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Inside Sales
  • Sector experience (i.e. Food, Chemical, Hazmat, CPG, Industrial, Government)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
