Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Branch Manager of a fast-growing logistics provider in business for nearly 2 decades. The organization places a high value on honest communication and building strong, long-lasting relationships with both customers, carriers and employees.

Responsible for the solicitation, brokering and management of all freight for customers. Will maintain the proper documentation pertaining to all loads moved; negotiate customer and carrier freight rates. Will call and work with existing customers to obtain loads. Will work with branch manager to generate new customer leads, follow up with both carriers and customers on assigned loads, maintaining productive working relationships with customer and carrier representatives. Challenge is to increase revenues and maximize profitability.

Background Required:
  • Freight Brokerage Sales, Account Management, and Operations (2+ years)
  • Mode of transportation (i.e. Truckload, Specialized, LTL)
  • Pricing and margin integrity
  • Negotiations
  • Customer development, profitability, & market penetration
  • Computer literate: Microsoft (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Residence: Dallas, TX
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Experience in “cradle to grave” environment
  • Experience within a start-up environment
  • Experience with McLeod software
  • Education: College Graduate
