  • Develops and implements effective strategic sales plans for the assigned region to accommodate the company and/or department goals.
  • Analyzes and directs sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly.
  • Sets short and long-term strategic plans to achieve the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Ensures that all policies and procedures are developed; business plan strategies, timeliness, quality of the services, goals, etc. are monitored and followed.
  • Motivates, develops, and mentors the members of the sales department for improved performance and positive direction.
  • Hires, trains, motivates and coaches staff members as they provide attentive, efficient service to customers, assessing employee performance and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities to maximize their potential.
  • Reviews performance data (sales and activity reports) to monitor and measure productivity, goal progress, and activity levels.
  • Generates reports, and presents information to upper-level managers.
  • Ensures contacts are well maintained with clients to create good work relationships that support sales and increase customer base.
  • Develops new accounts by distributing flyers, relaying information by email/phone calls (cold/warm calling), arranging appointments, and attending customer meetings.
  • Travels within an assigned sales territory to conduct face-to-face meetings with potential and existing customers.
  • Continually meeting or exceeding sales targets by selling company products to new and existing customers.
  • Strategically negotiating with potential and existing customers to close sales
  • Addresses issues bordering on pricing, delivery of goods, an desolation of customer complaints
  • Approaches and communicates with existing and potential customers regarding products.
  • Builds good relationships within the Company and outside the Company in the industry.
  • Communicates with customers and distributors to forecast high-demand products.
  • Creates customer work orders and relays the information to the Inside Sales department.
  • Creates sample request forms to submit to the warehouse.
  • Updates customer information in CRM software to maintain an accurate record of all leads, customer accounts, and sales.
  • Keeps abreast of the latest industry developments by attending meetings, training workshops, and industry events.
  • Researches competitors' products and pricing as well as market conditions.
  • Attends trade shows.
  • Assists Inside Sales with aged receivable collection if needed.
  • Collaborates with the marketing department to expand brand presence through the creation of suitable marketing materials.
  • Other duties assigned by upper-level managers

  • Proven experience as a sales representative in the industry preferred (fire protection or construction).
  • Able to travel frequently as required of the job.
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
  • Strong desire to excel in sales.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent skills in both verbal and written communication.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Must be able to legally work in the U.S. without any visa support.
