Position Responsibilities:
The Account Manager, Produce is responsible for the complete sales process including prospecting, lead generation, pricing and closing the business within the produce industry. Responsible for drawing on unique competencies to demonstrate how the business can be beneficial to the customer. Ability to analyze, create presentations with experience working with customer service, and managing the startup process after the sale. Account Manager will spend the majority of their time calling on potential and existing customers in an effort to grow the produce business base. Challenge is to increase revenues and maximize profitability.

Background Required:
  • Freight Brokerage Sales and Account Management (2+ years)
  • Carrier Sales and Development within refrigerated sector
  • Modes of Transportation (i.e. Reefer – Produce, TL, LTL)
  • Strong Selling Skills
  • Strong Negotiation Ability (Carrier, Customer, Margin Integrity)
  • Managed KPI’s (i.e. Customer Development, Profitability, Market Penetration)
  • Computer literate: Microsoft (i.e. Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook)
  • Residence: Grand Rapids, MI
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree

  • Excellent communications (i.e. verbal, written, presentations)
