Account Executive/Senior Account Executive Financial Communications

This position will appeal to a go-getter, who isn’t afraid to ask questions and who also takes something and runs with it. Ambition is important here, while also being willing to work with close teams. As an Account Executive/SAE, you will be a key support on client teams and looking to step into the role of an account manager relatively quickly. You will also be committed to developing your professional qualifications, if not already obtained.

Qualifications:

  • Have a minimum of 1-2 years of agency experience.
  • Already hold or be willing to obtain a relevant industry professional qualification.
  • Have experience of working with corporate brands as well as smaller start-ups.
  • Be polished and well presented.
  • Be a great writer.
  • Have excellent attention to even the smallest details.
  • Be well organized.
  • Be well informed on and keep up with industry and sector developments.
  • Have good knowledge of the media, ability to provide advice.
  • Hold good client and media relationships.
  • Commercially and financially aware.
  • Be passionate about corporate and consumer communications.
  • Be creative, enthusiastic and proactive.
  • Research and analytical skills, in particular their ability to link corporate news stories to the current events and news agenda.
  • Frequency at which media opportunities are uncovered.
  • Can edit and write contributed articles on behalf of clients.
  • Can write final draft press releases.
  • Proven interest in and understanding of financial and business issues, current affairs and politics.
  • Ability to foster relationships with journalists and clients.
  • Gets better at multi-tasking and prioritizing skills – and working with more than one account manager.
  • Shows a proactive and flexible approach.
  • Superb organizational skills and a meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and organizing media opportunities for clients.
  • Put clients forward for relevant forward feature opportunities.
  • Track industry news relevant to particular client.
  • Establish media relationships for client.
  • Work with clients and your team to establish objectives for any activity, including creative activity.
  • There will be an element of account admin – e.g. producing reports and clippings and so forth.
  • Assist Running a press office function – proactively pitching stories to a targeted pool of journalists.
