Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Owner of one of the industry’s most trusted providers of Intermodal transportation services across the United States. They have been in business for 2 years and have successfully tripled in growth from 2020 to 2022. They currently operate within the New Jersey port system and have the ability to haul throughout the entire contiguous United States.
The Account Executive will be focused on growing the company’s foothold in the Intermodal transportation & logistics sector through strategic partnerships within the industry. The individual will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and coordinating sales activities to maximize revenue, market share, and profitability. They will seek business development opportunities through the expansion of existing customer relationships and terminal operations and prospects for new leads. The AE will work closely with all members of the team to identify and pursue division specific opportunities as well as track and maintain data related to sales efforts and prospect status, potential value of sales pipeline, and provide regular reports to management.

Background Required:
  • Intermodal transportation/logistics sales
  • Proven background of closing business
  • Successful consultative selling
  • Demonstrated ability to sell to multiple levels of decision makers (Executive, Middle, & Line Mgmt)
  • Knowledgeable of pricing & margin integrity
  • Ability to develop and execute business plan strategies
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Travel: up to 50%
  • Residence: Remote (New Jersey/New York area)
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • CRM experience
  • Transload & storage knowledge & understanding
  • Knowledge of FMCSA & DOT regulations & requirements
  • Relationships in trade associations
  • Time & territory management reporting CRM (i.e., Salesforce, ACT)
  • Education: College Graduate-BA or BS
