Account Executive – Energy Efficiency & Decarbonization Projects
Located in Boston, MA area (Regional travel across New England)


A highly successful and leading company providing energy-efficient and decarbonization solutions is seeking an experienced Account Executive to join the team. This organization delivers turnkey energy and infrastructure projects across New England — including HVAC, controls, electrical upgrades, and full-scale building modernization initiatives — helping clients reduce energy costs, modernize facilities, and achieve sustainability goals.

We are looking for a seasoned sales professional to join our clients team in the Boston, MA area.


Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned sales professional with a proven track record of successfully selling energy efficiency, mechanical/ electrical, or capital improvement projects. Under general direction, you will be responsible for executing the sales process, developing strong relationships, and driving growth through consultative, solution-based selling.

A successful Account Executive will identify prospects, assess customer needs, and develop strategic proposals that close high-value opportunities. This role requires collaboration with in-house engineers, electricians, and project managers to deliver comprehensive design/build solutions that align with each client’s goals.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts, persuade, and close sales.
  • Proven success selling energy efficiency, MEP, or infrastructure modernization projects.
  • Experience developing and maintaining long-term client relationships with C-level or senior decision-makers.
  • Ability to manage the full sales cycle — from prospecting and qualifying leads to contract execution.
  • Strategic mindset with strong business acumen and entrepreneurial drive.
  • Comfortable working independently with limited supervision.
  • Collaborative and disciplined, with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.
  • Eager to work in a fast-paced environment focused on innovation, sustainability, and results.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive field sales experience in energy efficiency, construction, or facility infrastructure.
  • Proven track record of quota attainment and sales performance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout New England.
