A well reputed multinational company from Aerospace having its operations in the USA & Canada are looking for the following positions in Long Island, New York, USA.


Position: A & P Licensed Sr. Mechanic (Gulfstream)

Description: Looking for the independent, a self-starter and experience aircraft mechanic specialized for Gulfstream with a wide range maintenance services for corporate and private jets with focus on customer satisfaction. Willing to accept challenges and take initiatives regarding misc. aircraft mechanical works.

Requirements:

  1. Technical
  • Testing and inspecting the operational requirements such as the engines, control, accessories, landing gear, cooling and heating systems, Hydraulics, oxygen, fuel, and other pressurization.
  • Preventive maintenance and alterations as and when required for customers.
  • Inspection of articles such as the incoming, hidden damages, in progress final and outgoings.
  • Complete the repair and maintenance procedure by utilizing hand tools, precision measuring instruments, gauges, test equipment, aircraft jacks, hoists, and other equipment related to ground support respectively.
  • The work order to be maintained and practiced accordingly with logical entries, clear, concise, and complying to the requirement of the regulatory.
  • Cleanliness and organized work perimeters is required.
  • HSE (Health, Safety & Environmental) Compliance is mandatory.
  • Work as an inspector when authorized and with limitations set in the Repair Station Quality Control and forms Manual authorization.
  • Ensure operations for the specialized diagnosed and reparable equipment’s.
  • Comply with all Federal Aviation regulations in context of applying maintenance and inspection policies and procedures.

  • Professionalism when dealing with peers.

  • Follow up as and when required regarding employees and departments.
  • Suggest communication protocols for healthy communication.
  • Punctual attendance is required.
  • Accurate, clarity, precision and focused approach.
  • Additional responsibilities
  • Duties as assigned for O.T (Overtime) and on call.
  • OJT (On the Job Training) related to new employees induction.
  • Other Misc. duties as and when required assigned by the supervisor.
  • Other Responsibilities as Supervisor
  • May train other junior employees as authorized and required.

Experience:

At least 3-5 years as A&P Licensed Mechanic.

Education:

At least High school or GED/College.

Professional Qualification:

Valid FAA certified Airframe and Power plant (A & P) license.

Skills & Professional Requirements:

  • Experienced gulfstream products / or Embraer preferably.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and possessing arithmetic skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite with the essence and desire to learn additional software applications.
  • Pass all drug/alcohol screening tests, background, and reference checks provided eligibility to work in the USA.
  • Excellent listener and a problem solver.
  • Teamwork and independent worker as required.
  • Precise and clear communicator
  • Work under pressure and handle change management

Physical Skills:

  • Walk; lift up to 75lbs, crawl, and bend, climb, stretch and willing to work tiresome position for long time as required.
  • Can climb ladders.
  • Not having high Height phobia.

HSE & Work Environment skills:

  • Work under extreme temperatures and inclement weather as required.
  • Can work up to 50 feet in height.
  • Can handle equipment’s such as the forklifts, boom, and scissor lifts etc.
  • Shall accept to work for long hours, available in emergency, work over time and may require weekends.
  • Ability to deal with extensive exposure to noise, dust, smells, fumes present in an aviation environment.

Remuneration:

Compensation is dependent on experience and is negotiable that fits the company needs in terms of Professional Qualifications and skill set. Position is eligible for the retention bonus as well.
