About our Client

Our client is a large public sector organization responsible for delivering essential services across multiple municipalities and communities in the region. They are currently seeking a Receptionist / Administrative Assistant III to provide temporary support within their Project Delivery department at a North Vancouver project office.

This is a full-time temporary assignment for approximately 3 months, starting ASAP, with a pay rate of $31.58 per hour. The role operates Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a one-hour unpaid lunch and two paid 15-minute breaks. Please note that this is an on-site position; remote work is not available.

The successful candidate must be a fast learner with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and strong technical abilities in Microsoft Office and MS Teams. This position will move quickly — apply today!

Responsibilities

  • Provide meeting support including booking meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes (asset)
  • Format, revise, and maintain important documents with strong attention to detail
  • Perform accurate data entry and document control tasks
  • Use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and MS Teams in daily operations
  • Receive, sort, prioritize, track, and distribute incoming mail and courier packages
  • Greet and direct office visitors in a professional manner
  • Maintain office supplies and support general office administration
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced project delivery environment
  • Perform additional administrative duties as required

Qualifications

  • Previous administrative or receptionist experience is required
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience using Microsoft Teams is required
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative (self-starter)
  • Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Meeting coordination and minute-taking experience is an asset
