We’re hiring experienced Chemical Technicians for a growing logistics operation supporting the automotive paint industry. This is a full-time night-shift opportunity for candidates with hands-on chemical mixing, kitting, material handling, and forklift experience.

Shift

  • Night Shift: 6:00 PM–6:00 AM
  • Rotating Schedule: Work three days one week, four days the following week
  • Schedule: Work approximately 15 days per month
  • 12-hour shifts with more scheduled days off than a traditional workweek

What You’ll Do

  • Accurately kit dry and liquid chemicals according to specified formulas and production schedules
  • Safely mix chemicals in precise quantities following established procedures
  • Use scales, balances, and measuring equipment to calculate accurate weights and measurements
  • Inspect chemical batches to ensure they meet required quality standards
  • Safely handle, label, stage, and move chemical materials
  • Operate a forklift to transport materials throughout the facility
  • Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of mixing and kitting equipment
  • Follow PPE, respirator, lockout/tagout, grounding, and bonding requirements
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area
  • Follow all company procedures for chemical handling and storage

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous chemical mixing, batching, kitting, or similar chemical-handling experience
  • Forklift experience
  • Strong math skills and ability to accurately calculate weights and measurements
  • Strong attention to detail when following formulas and written instructions
  • Knowledge of PPE and chemical safety procedures
  • Ability to pass a respirator fit test and comply with required PPE
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work the full rotating 12-hour night schedule
