About the Company:

Our client is a well-established leader in the civil construction industry, delivering high-quality earthmoving, sewer, watermain, and road-building services to municipalities, developers, and government agencies for a few decades.

They are seeking a Heavy Duty Equipment and Truck Shop Supervisor to oversee shop operations, lead technicians, and ensure safe, efficient maintenance of heavy equipment and fleet vehicles.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of heavy-duty equipment and truck technicians

  • Oversee daily shop operations, scheduling, and workflow

  • Ensure preventative maintenance and repairs are completed efficiently

  • Maintain compliance with safety standards and company policies

  • Diagnose complex mechanical issues and provide technical guidance

  • Manage parts inventory and coordinate with suppliers

  • Maintain accurate service and maintenance records

  • Support continuous improvement in shop productivity and equipment uptime

Requirements:

  • Valid 310T and/or 421A license (preferred)

  • Previous supervisory or lead-hand experience in a heavy equipment or fleet environment

  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical, and diagnostic systems

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Commitment to safety and quality workmanship

  • Valid driver’s license
