We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Assistant Manager to join a modern manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on leadership role for a maintenance professional looking to grow into a full Maintenance Manager position.
You will work closely with the Maintenance Manager to support daily operations, lead maintenance initiatives, and ensure equipment reliability across an advanced manufacturing environment, including CNC machinery.
Key Responsibilities

Support daily maintenance operations and assume leadership responsibilities in the manager’s absence

Maintain a hands-on presence with maintenance staff, assisting with troubleshooting and repairs

Ensure plant equipment operates to mechanical standards and safety expectations

Assist with preventive maintenance programs, work orders, inventory tracking, and documentation

Support installation, setup, and alignment of new equipment, including verification of utilities and environmental requirements

Perform routine inspections of facilities and machinery

Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment documentation

Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

Support CNC equipment maintenance and general manufacturing machinery upkeep
-
Coordinate outside service providers as needed

Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies
Technical Skills & Experience
-
Previous supervisory experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment

Strong working knowledge of:
-
High and low voltage electrical systems
-
PLCs and basic programming
-
Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
-
Industrial HVAC, chillers, and boiler systems
-
General building and grounds maintenance
-

Ability to diagnose issues using schematics, drawings, and testing devices

Experience operating forklifts, aerial/scissor lifts, and overhead cranes

Comfortable performing both electrical and mechanical maintenance
-
Familiarity with facilities management and maintenance best practices

Basic understanding of project management concepts

Working computer skills
Qualifications
-
Industrial Maintenance or Electrical degree preferred
-
Maintenance certificate from a technical school or two-year college (or equivalent experience)
-
3–7 years of related industrial or manufacturing experience
-
Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. person status)

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Reliable, team-oriented, safety-focused mindset
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 35 lbs regularly

Standing or walking for most of the shift

Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing ladders or stairs

Ability to perform fine and gross motor tasks

Visual acuity sufficient to pass annual vision testing

Ability to hear alarms, machinery sounds, and verbal instructions
-
Work performed under AS9100 standards
