Chief Estimator
“The perfect opportunity to advance your career!!!!”

Company Information:

For over a century, this team has been shaping the California coast with strength, precision, and staying power. As one of the most respected names in marine construction, dredging, and ecological restoration, their legacy runs deep, with a lasting impact across the San Francisco Bay, the Delta, and the vital waterways that define California.

With four powerhouse divisions — Marine Construction, Dredging, Materials, and Wetland Restoration — this full-service, turnkey operation delivers faster, smarter, and more reliable results through seamless integration and bold execution.

The ecological restoration division has earned a reputation for innovation and meaningful impact. Through strong partnerships and a dedicated team, they've restored some of California’s most sensitive and vital landscapes — from mountain headwaters to coastal wetlands. They work where it counts.

The team brings decades of hands-on experience in restoration science, construction, and land stewardship. Many have spent their entire careers in this field, bringing deep knowledge and a shared commitment to healthy ecosystems with long-term resilience. They are builders and botanists, operators and ecologists, united by purpose.

From fortifying levees that protect Sacramento to crafting seawalls in Alameda or responding during the Oroville Dam crisis, these projects go beyond construction — they protect and preserve California’s future.

They Value and Appreciate their Employees:

A quote from an employee: “The executive team really cares – the Executive Chairman came to the office the other day, out of the blue, and he brought lunch for 75 employees. Then he talked with us personally, and it’s not just about work, it’s about “how is your new baby doing?” Where are you going on vacation this year?”.

They hire people who want to grow and develop – the career path for this position is to become a Senior Project Manager within the next few years.

The proof is in the longevity – the average length of service is 20 years! Excellent compensation and benefits. Safety is extremely important, and it shows in their numbers with the current mode of .71, almost unheard of in the construction industry.

Your Role with the Company:

As a Chief Estimator, you will play a part in high-stakes operations that shape California’s wetlands and protect its communities. Whether we’re restoring salmon spawning habitat, reducing fire risk, or reconnecting floodplain hydrology, we approach each project with respect for the land and the people who depend on it.

  • Lead and manage all personnel assigned to the estimating department, including cross-functional collaboration with staff from other divisions as needed.

    • Payment terms and conditions
    • Crew selection (labor and equipment)
    • Project schedule and contract timelines
    • Community impact and engagement
