- The Project Manager position is located at your home office, at the project site, or in EIP’s Sausalito, CA office – the location is determined by what you decide is best for the project.

- Reporting to David Urban, the Managing Director of Operations, he was EIP’s first employee back in the beginning and will be an incredible resource to the Project Manager

Why EIP’s interested in you, the situation?
As a result of EIP’s strategic growth, their NorCal Ecological Restoration division is seeking to add an experienced Project Manager to their team. This position reports to Dave Urban and the person will work closely with senior staff throughout the firm to support and help grow their expanding Central Valley practice in the areas of habitat restoration, and associated floodplain restoration projects.
What you’ll be doing as a Project Manager:
- As the liaison with Clients, you will be responsible for the primary communication and coordination and reviewing and approving all submittals to Clients.
- Advise and guide the EIP team on technical considerations as project design advances.
- Coordinate and lead negotiations with appropriate Local, State, and Federal agencies to secure all required permits and to report on permit compliance post-permit issuance.
- Effectively communicate with the design team and selected project contractor to ensure constructability throughout permit negotiations. Coordinate and lead project site visits. Manage permit compliance with consultants and contractors. Review and approve all submittals.
- Manage project schedule and budget. Coordinate all sub-consultants and subcontractor schedules and deliverables. Coordination with supervisory personnel, contractor personnel, project biologists, and design professionals on an ongoing basis regarding project objectives and progress.
- Organize meeting agenda, materials, and facilitate meetings and design workshops with Clients and EIP design team technical consultants, as well as other relevant resource agencies.
- Administer review/distribution of submittals, RFIs, contract change management, and potential claims.
- Cost control of all consultants and contractors. Review and reconcile all invoices. Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status. Prepare adequate records and quality assurance documentation.
- Ensure all contract requirements are fulfilled in a professional manner.
- Manage construction including monthly planning, progress analysis, value engineering, progress of construction activities, coordination with the project design team, and verification of contractual conditions of performance. The Project Manager will have the authority to start and stop work as necessary to ensure work will comply with the Contract, Plans, and Specifications.
- Active engagement to facilitate a resolution with adjacent landowners and local municipalities if a disruption (either perceived or real) occurs.
Who you are?
- Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000.
- Experienced with permitting projects and the associated negotiations.
- Expertise in Project Management such as scheduling, tracking costs, and coordination.
- Background in the environmental professional sector.
- Educated in Engineering, Natural Resources, Biology, Environmental.
- Knowledge of ecological restoration projects or related.
- Background in Scheduling software.
