Purchasing Supervisor for a 6 month period.

Overview:

  • Salary: $10,500 TTD
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday

Job Title: Purchasing Supervisor

Job Overview:

The Purchasing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the procurement of materials and services necessary for the company's operations. This role involves managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing. The Purchasing Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining inventory levels and supporting the production process.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Daily Purchasing Activities: Ensure all purchasing tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
  • Vendor Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and prices with suppliers to secure cost-effective purchasing.
  • Inventory Monitoring: Monitor inventory levels and order new supplies as needed.
  • Purchase Requisition Review: Review and analyze purchase requisitions for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Forecasting: Coordinate with different departments to forecast future procurement needs.
  • Supplier Evaluation: Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Reporting: Prepare and maintain purchasing reports and records.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Issue Resolution: Resolve supply, quality, service, and invoicing issues with vendors.
  • Policy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Training: Provide training and guidance to junior purchasing staff.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Professional certification such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) is preferred.
  • Experience: Proven track record of successful vendor negotiations and experience with ERP systems and procurement software.- Minimum: Three (3) years experience in purchasing.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively with various departments.

Skills Required:

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market trends and data to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective negotiation and relationship management.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and mentor a team of purchasing professionals.
