Manager of Business Intelligence
The Manager of Business Intelligence is a key member of our Strategy and Analytics team responsible for defining and managing the BI data infrastructure. This is a strategic leadership role and will be responsible for building data sets and provide reports to help the organization make business decisions. Working closely with business stakeholders and departmental leadership, you will establish and drive long-term BI strategy and roadmap, as well as manage increasing demand for advanced analytics.
Define and manage the BI data infrastructure.
Build datasets to support ad hoc and ongoing reporting needs.
Collaborate with business users to define business requirements for reports.
Manage the development of reports in BI tools.
Identify solutions to improve the reliability of datasets and reports.
Define and implement the product roadmap for reporting.
Provide support for data science projects to ensure on-time, accurate results.
Conduct ad hoc analysis projects as needed.
Define the scope and timing for BI projects.
Provide status updates to key stakeholders relating to BI projects.
Develop training materials and train business users on new reports.
Collaborate with engineering to implement reports and BI infrastructure changes.
Work with key stakeholders to resolve issues relating to reporting and the BI infrastructure.
Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience using BI tools, such as Tableau, Qlik or PowerBI.
Undergrad in computer science, computer programming, MIS, or related field.
Strong understanding of relational databases.
Experience with SQL scripting, including building tables, views, stored procedures, triggers.
Working in back-end environments such as SQL Server, AWS, Azure, Spark or Google BigQuery.
Knowledge of python, C#, or Scala a plus.
Experience designing and building BI datasets and analyzing datasets in Excel.
Understanding of retail or automotive financial performance metrics a plus.
Understanding of product management strongly preferred.
Strong communicator with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent presentation skills, able to present to large groups.
Ability to excel in a team oriented environment.
Must be able to travel up to 10% of time.
