Accounting Clerk - Accounts Payable
We are looking for an energetic and detailed-oriented person to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks. The Accounting Clerk will focus primarily on general accounting activities with an emphasis on sales commission calculation. Additional responsibilities include keeping financial records updated, preparing reports, and reconciling bank statements. You will also run accounting software programs (NetSuite, Excel, etc.) to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts. A successful accounting assistant should be familiar with all accounting procedures and have a flair for numbers.
Semi-monthly Payroll recording and posting in General Ledger.
Understand proper taxation of earnings and deductions.
Calculate monthly Commission Reports.
Prepare post payroll and ad hoc reports.
Reconcile credit card statements and expense reports.
Prepare monthly T&E reports.
Track tradeshow expenses.
Fixed asset maintenance.
Required Skills & Experience
Accounting background with degree and 2+ years related work experience.
Reporting skills, deadline-oriented, time management, attention to detail, confidentiality, productivity, strong communication skills, general math skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel a must; Paylocity and Netsuite experience helpful, not required.
