Lawyer/Legal Counsel

JMC is pleased to present an exciting opportunity for a Lawyer/Legal Counsel with our client, DMC. In this role, you will be responsible for providing legal guidance and support across various business operations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. As the ideal candidate, you are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, both as part of a team and independently. You have an analytical mind, are well-organized, and possess excellent communication skills. As a strategic thinker, you commonly use innovative approaches to assist clients with complex legal matters.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing strong relationships with clients across Canada

• Providing legal advice on corporate, employment, and regulatory matters

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and other legal documents

• Conducting legal research and analysis on various matters affecting the business

• Advising on risk management strategies and compliance frameworks

• Representing the organization in legal proceedings and liaising with external counsel as needed

Job Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in Canada and in good standing with a provincial law society

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in corporate, employment, or regulatory law

• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards

• Excellent analytical, communication, and legal drafting skills

• Strong interpersonal skills\

• Bilingual (English and French)
