Forklift Operator

Job Title: Forklift Operator
(Location: Sangre Grande)

Job Summary:

To operator the forklift in conjunction with planning, organizing, monitoring, receiving storage and distribution of items received. Ensuring a smooth and consistent operation so that stocks are located and distributed to customers in an efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Report and provides follow up of received product to the supervisor, ensuring accordance with company policies and procedures
• Operate forklift in accordance to company policy.
• Ensures that all products are received into storage in the required quantity and quality and meet agreed specification.
• Verifies received materials and associated documentation for ‘fit for use’ and issues non-conformances when and where necessary.
• Performs any other related duties required.

• Ensures and promotes continual improvement.

Requirements:

• Minimum of Three (3) CXC / CSEC passes (including Mathematics and English)
• Certification in forklift operation.
• At least two (2) years’ experience working in a related function.
• Experience in a fast-paced, service environment would be considered an asset.
• Clean driving record in forklift operation
• Defensive driving

Capabilities

• Ability to regularly lift items up to 50lbs safely and within established guidelines.
