Job Title: Lower Extremity Sales Manager
Our 30 year old orthopedic client is expanding their direct sales and sales management team across the US. Their orthopedic product portfolio focuses on delivering innovative implants, instruments, and biologics used by surgeons in the upper and lower extremity space. They are investing significantly in internal new product development initiatives and evaluating complimentary acquisition opportunities.
The Lower Extremity Sales Manager is responsible for exceeding sales quotas within an assigned territory by driving market acceptance and adoption of orthopedic implants and biologics used in foot & ankle procedures. The sales leader will hire a W2 sales team, build strong relationships with surgeons, provides technical expertise, and delivers exceptional customer service. They identify new business opportunities, tailor sales strategies, and ensure product solutions meet or exceed customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement business plans to drive new sales opportunities and close deals.
- Engage with prospective and existing customers through calls, meetings, and on-site visits, including operating room consultations.
- Provide post-sale support, including training, delivery coordination, and product replenishment.
- Communicate product updates and educational programs to customers.
- Cross-sell products and introduce new offerings to current and new accounts.
- Address customer concerns promptly to ensure high satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity using CRM tools.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, ethics, and company policies.
- Hire, Mentor, and assist in the training of junior sales staff as needed.
- Stay current with industry trends, competitive products, and medical device advancements.
- Participate in tradeshows, sales meetings, and industry events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, medical, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of successful sales experience (preferably in medical devices).
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with surgeons and medical personnel.
- Knowledge of sales techniques, marketing strategies, and product demonstrations.
- Ability to work in operating room environments and obtain necessary hospital credentials.
Compensation and Benefits:
- On-Target Earnings ranging from $250K-$275K annually, uncapped commissions
