We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Director of Nursing to join our well-established nursing home facility in Grinnell, IA. As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all nursing activities and ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing staff, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for residents.
• Conduct regular assessments of residents' health status and review and update care plans as needed.
• Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of nursing staff.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels and schedule nursing staff to meet resident needs.
• Monitor and control the nursing department budget, including supplies, equipment, and staffing costs.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Foster strong relationships with residents, families, and the community to enhance resident satisfaction and promote a positive image of the facility.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa.
• 3 or more years of nursing experience, with at least 1 years in a leadership or management role.
• Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and regulations in a long-term care setting.
• Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement care plans and ensure quality care delivery.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficient in computer skills, including electronic health record systems.
