Job Description

Our client, a leading company in the development and manufacturing of cutting-edge ultrasonic technologies for industrial purposes, is currently in search of a System Engineer.

This role involves overseeing the technical coordination, integration, and management of all sub-systems within upcoming NDT product development.




Mandatory : Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, or Computer engineering and Canadian Experience

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the system architecture for new non-destructive testing products, defining system architecture, subsystem interfaces, and integration strategies.
• Drive the design and development of electronic systems and components, offering technical guidance and expertise to ensure adherence to performance, reliability, and quality standards.
• Manage technical product requirements and specifications, ensuring alignment with customer needs and industry standards.
• Conduct risk analysis and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) for the product, identifying potential failure modes, assessing their impact, and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Develop and execute test plans and procedures to validate system functionality, performance, and reliability throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain system-level documentation, including architecture diagrams, interface control documents, and technical specifications.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, such as hardware, software, and firmware engineers, to ensure smooth integration of sub-systems and components.
• Lead regular design reviews and technical meetings to monitor progress, identify issues, and resolve technical challenges.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.

Qualifications :
Demonstrated expertise (3 years) in Systems Architecture/Systems Engineering.
• Proven track record (5 years) in designing, developing, and testing high-speed digital and analog circuits.
• Proficient in system architecture design, encompassing hardware, software, and firmware integration.
• Skilled in risk analysis methodologies, such as FMEA, with practical application in product development.
• Experience in firmware development using C/C++ within embedded environments.
• Familiarity with prevalent electronic communication standards: USB, I2C, SPI, UART, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485.
• Knowledge of Linux is advantageous.
• Strong project management acumen, including task prioritization, resource allocation, and effective management of schedules and budgets.
• Excellent communication skills, adept at articulating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and facilitating constructive discussions.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities, characterized by a proactive and results-driven approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
